Jai aims to make the entire journey from initial consultation through to return to optimum function as comfortable and seamless as possible. In general terms, once referred to Jai you will go through an investigative process to determine the best way of achieving the desired outcome. Jai will always engage other health care professionals as he believes strongly in a team-based approach to total patient management. The professionals that he engages are individuals that he works with closely and whom can reach out to him at any time. Essentially the right hand is talking to the left hand at all times.
If surgery in the private sector is required, this will take place at Lingard Private Hospital. Informed consent will be obtained by Jai during the consultation and this will enable you to ask any questions you may have. Admission forms can completed in hard copy and delivered to the hospital or can be done online in the comfort of your own home or workplace. The process of booking in for surgery can be a daunting one so Jai’s team will facilitate this for you after your consultation.
A member of Jai’s team will make contact you in the days leading up to your operation to ensure that you are comfortable moving forward. They will answer any final burning questions or concerns you may be harbouring.
Finally, Lingard Private Hospital will call you on the last working day before your operation to let you know details regarding
- admission time
- fasting time
- personal belongings to bring to hospital
Jai’s list orders are not confirmed until the day before surgery and will be determined by the procedure being performed, the patient’s past medical history, distance from home and personal preference.
